This policy explains what information REPLACE — legal entity name, operating as Dead Estimates ("we", "I"), collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers two very different groups of people, so it is written in two parts.
When you email, call, or send me a database export, I collect only what you give me: your name, business name, email address, phone number, and any information you choose to share about your business.
I use it to respond to you, to assess whether I can help, and if we work together, to deliver the service and invoice you. That is all. I do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone, and I do not add you to a mailing list without your agreement.
Here is what that means in practice:
Where a client sends me a customer database:
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not run behavioural analytics. Standard server logs may record IP addresses and page requests for security and reliability purposes. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of that request.
I operate from Canada and serve clients in the United States. Information may be stored and processed in either country, and by service providers acting on my behalf (for example, the messaging platform and calendar provider used to run campaigns). Those providers are bound to use it only to deliver their service.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to withdraw consent to being contacted. Ask, and I will do it. If your information came from a client's database, I will coordinate with them and confirm back to you.
Client business records are kept for as long as needed to run the engagement and meet tax and record-keeping obligations. Opt-out records are kept permanently, because that is the only way to guarantee someone who opted out is never contacted again.
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change and active clients will be told directly.
